A LAMENT

Hii everyone!
This is my first blog post( a poem) and I hope you all like it! Please continue giving me your support for upcoming posts.......
People often say don’t judge a book,
By its cover howsoever beautiful it may look,
I committed this mistake and the result was pretty crook,
As after a fish comes, clueless, to its life snatching hook.
I was confused and had no clue,
The sky above me appeared to have lost its delicate blue,
The bond we shared was stronger even than glue,
I have no idea of why was it you.
If you wish so, I shall swear,
By the body which I wear,
My pulse geared up, as I could hear,
At the exact moment you drew near.
The day you told me you were to go,
I was grieved and felt so low,
A single sentence came like a throwing knife,
But the pain was of being burnt alive.
The reason to live has become the reason to die,
And why had I thought that you’d never ever lie,
It all started with just a simple “Hi,”
And now, the reason to live has become the reason to die.
Thank you people! Your reviews/opinions would be highly respected.
